What are the bandwidth requirements for BataBing?
80-100Kbps up and 80-100Kbps down have shown to be the minimum Internet connection speed needed in order to have a quality phone call.
The bandwidth that BataBing's Internet Phone Service requires depends on the number of concurrent calls you want to be able to make at a particular time.
For example, 10 concurrent users would require at least 1 Mbps up and 1 Mbps down (100 kbps x 10), which means you would be smart to allow at least 2 Mbps up and 2 Mbps down plus 1 or 2 Mbps safety margin since most internet service providers offer “up to” ranges service that can vary.
Depending on the other services and applications using your internet connection and on the capabilities of your router, 5 to 10 Mbps may be sufficient, or you may need to increase your bandwidth. This must be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, as each organization is different.
Can BataBing be used with dial-up modem?
No. In order to take advantage of BataBing's Internet Phone Service, you need a high-speed internet connection, such as DSL or Cable.
Can I use my current phone and existing phone numbers with BataBing?

What equipment do I need to use BataBing’s Internet Phone Service?
As with any VoIP service, you need VoIP phones or a VoIP adapter.
You don’t have to but we strongly recommend that you use a switch dedicated only to communication between your phones and your modem to avoid voice and data competing for the same bandwidth.
Also, to prevent audio issues caused by voice and data competing for the same bandwidth, make sure your network router’s Quality of Service (QoS) settings are set as follows, so that they prioritize the transmission of voice packets to your WAN connection (ISP): UDP/5060, UDP/6060 and UDP/16384 to 32768 Priority: High.
